PagePin is provided by Globe Astral LLC ("Globe Astral", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains how the current PagePin app handles information, and how the PagePin website at pagepin.app handles information.
1. Current release and local-first design
PagePin 1.0 does not require a separate PagePin account. Your PagePin library is stored locally first. This includes saved URLs and page metadata, personal notes, Pins, archive and Viewed state, Collections, Categories, reminder dates, reading progress, notification scheduling references, and offline Reader copies.
PagePin does not include advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics, cross-app tracking, or data-broker integrations in this release. Collection sharing and hosted collection-sharing links are currently hidden and disabled, so this release does not upload Collections to that service or create those links.
2. Information and permissions used by PagePin
Depending on the feature you choose, PagePin may process:
- URLs, titles, descriptions, source names, preview images, Reader text, notes, categories, Collections, Pin state, archive state, Viewed history, reading progress, reminder dates, and other library metadata that you create or save.
- A URL or supported text that you deliberately send to PagePin through the iOS share sheet.
- Clipboard text only after you deliberately press Apple’s Paste control. Pasting a link does not automatically save it to your library; you still choose whether to save it. PagePin does not continuously monitor or automatically read the clipboard.
- Notification permission and local scheduling information for reminders, forgotten-save alerts, and attention badges. You can turn PagePin notifications off at any time using PagePin’s notification setting or your device’s notification permissions. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device, and PagePin does not upload a push notification device token to a Globe Astral server.
- Biometric availability through the operating system’s biometric authentication framework when you enable App Lock. On supported Apple devices this includes Face ID or Touch ID. PagePin does not receive, store, or transmit your biometric templates.
PagePin does not request access to contacts, the photo library, the camera, or location for its current core save-and-organize workflow.
3. Web requests and third-party websites
When you save a web link or open one in PagePin, the app may request the public webpage to display its title, description, source, preview image, or Reader content. The destination website and its infrastructure may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and user-agent information. Those websites have their own privacy policies, terms, and security practices.
PagePin does not claim ownership of or control over third-party websites or the content they publish.
4. Reader Mode and offline content
When you open a saved webpage in PagePin’s in-app viewer, the app may analyze the loaded page on your device to identify readable article text, headings, author information, a representative image, and an estimated reading time. PagePin may store reading progress and Reader appearance preferences locally.
When you choose Save Offline, PagePin stores the extracted Reader text, article metadata, and possibly a representative image locally on your device. Offline copies are not uploaded through PagePin Sync. You can remove an individual copy or all offline copies without deleting the saved URL itself.
5. Optional iCloud Sync
iCloud Sync is disabled by default and is available on supported Apple devices. If you enable it, PagePin synchronizes supported library records through the private CloudKit database associated with the iCloud account signed in on the device. Supported records may include saved URLs and metadata, notes, Collections, custom Categories, Pin and archive state, Viewed history, reminder times, and reading progress.
Globe Astral LLC does not operate a separate PagePin account or sync server for this feature. Apple operates CloudKit and its handling is also subject to Apple’s privacy notices and iCloud terms. Offline Reader copies and cached images remain on each device and are not uploaded through PagePin Sync.
Turning iCloud Sync off stops PagePin from synchronizing. It does not by itself delete the local library or records already stored in the user’s private CloudKit database.
6. Collection sharing
Collection sharing and hosted Collection-sharing links are not available in the current release. This release does not generate or accept a Collection-sharing link, and no hosted sharing service is used.
If sharing is introduced in a future release, these Terms will be updated before the feature becomes available.

7. Support communications
If you contact Globe Astral for support, we receive the information you choose to include in your email or other communication. We use it to respond to your request and maintain appropriate business records. The email service used to deliver that communication may process the message under its own terms.
8. Analytics, advertising, and diagnostics
PagePin does not sell personal information and does not include third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics, cross-app tracking, or data-broker integrations in this release. Development diagnostics may appear in developer logs during testing, but they are not used as a behavioral advertising profile.
9. Retention, deletion, and account requests
There is no separate PagePin account or account profile to delete in this release. You can delete saved items, Collections, custom Categories, notes, reminders, and offline copies using the available app controls. Deleting the app removes its local database and preferences from that device, subject to device or system backups.
Deleting the app does not automatically delete records already stored in the user’s private iCloud CloudKit database. To delete the synced PagePin zone, open Settings → iCloud Sync → Delete iCloud Data while sync is enabled and confirm the destructive action. PagePin permanently deletes its private CloudKit zone, turns iCloud Sync off, and keeps the local PagePin library on the device. If sync is enabled again later, that local library can be uploaded to a newly created zone by the user’s explicit action.
Individual record deletions are propagated as deletion metadata during sync so other devices do not restore them. Turning sync off by itself is not a remote-data deletion request. Contact us if you need help with a PagePin data request.
10. Security
PagePin uses the platform storage and security controls provided by iOS and iPadOS, and Apple’s private CloudKit database when optional sync is enabled. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Keep your device, Apple account, and any device passcode or biometric protection secure.
11. Children and international users
PagePin is a general-purpose productivity app and is not directed to children, and it does not ask for your age. Because PagePin has no separate account, most information stays on your device or in your private iCloud storage. The limited information we actually receive comes from any email you send us for support and from the ordinary technical information processed when your browser loads the PagePin website, as described above. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support, contact us and we will delete it. PagePin may be used internationally. Local processing occurs on your device, while Apple CloudKit and support communications may process information under their applicable terms and regional infrastructure.
12. User privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or portability of personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because most PagePin data is stored locally or in your private CloudKit database, many requests can be completed through the app, your device, or Apple account controls. You may also contact Globe Astral LLC using the address below, and you may have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
13. The PagePin website
This section describes the PagePin website at pagepin.app, which is separate from the PagePin app. The website is an informational site about PagePin. It does not require an account, does not ask you to sign in, and does not include a contact form; getting in touch is done through your own email application.
The website stores one small preference in your browser’s local storage to remember your light or dark theme choice. This preference stays in your browser, is not a tracking cookie, and is not sent to Globe Astral. The website does not use advertising, behavioral analytics, cross-site tracking, or third-party tracking cookies.
Like any website, pagepin.app is delivered by a hosting provider that may process standard technical request information, such as your IP address, browser and device user-agent, and the pages requested, in order to serve the site and keep it secure. Any links you follow to third-party services, such as the App Store or your email application, are handled by those services under their own terms.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when PagePin’s features or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
