These Terms govern your use of PagePin, which is provided by Globe Astral LLC ("Globe Astral", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using PagePin, you agree to these Terms and any applicable app-store terms. If you do not agree, do not use PagePin.
1. About PagePin
PagePin is a local-first productivity app that helps you save, organize, search, pin, annotate, revisit, and read links and other supported content. Optional iCloud Sync can synchronize supported library metadata through your private Apple CloudKit database.
PagePin 1.0 does not require a separate PagePin account. PagePin is provided by Globe Astral LLC.
2. Accounts and devices
You are responsible for your device, any Apple account used for optional iCloud Sync, your device passcode or biometric protection, and protecting access to your credentials. Globe Astral does not create or manage a separate PagePin account in this release.
3. Your content and our limited permission
You retain ownership of the links, notes, labels, Collections, Categories, and other material you create or save, to the extent you have rights in that material. You are responsible for the content you choose to save, organize, open, or share.
You give Globe Astral LLC only the limited, non-exclusive technical permission needed to operate the features you choose: storing and displaying your content locally, synchronizing supported records through optional CloudKit, and processing a selected link to retrieve public metadata or Reader content. This permission ends for content when it is removed from the applicable PagePin feature, subject to backups, sync deletion processing, and third-party systems.
4. Collections and sharing
Collection sharing and hosted collection-sharing links are currently hidden and disabled in this release. If Globe Astral enables them in a future release, sharing will require your explicit action and will make the selected Collection content available through the applicable sharing flow. You must have the right to share anything you choose, and you must not use sharing to distribute unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or infringing material.
5. Third-party websites and content
PagePin can open third-party websites and retrieve their metadata or Reader content. Those websites, services, and materials are not controlled by Globe Astral LLC. Their availability, accuracy, security, terms, and privacy practices are their responsibility.
Saving or sharing a link through PagePin does not give you or Globe Astral ownership of the third-party content, trademarks, or intellectual property. You are responsible for respecting the applicable owner’s terms and rights.
6. Acceptable use
You may use PagePin only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- distribute unlawful, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or malicious material;
- attempt unauthorized access to PagePin, CloudKit, a sharing service, or a third-party website;
- interfere with PagePin, its distribution, or a connected service;
- use automated methods to scrape, overload, probe, or abuse a service connected to PagePin; or
- use PagePin to violate applicable laws, sanctions, regulations, or third-party contracts.
7. Availability and changes
PagePin, metadata retrieval, external websites, operating-system integrations, iCloud Sync, and any future sharing service may be unavailable, delayed, changed, or discontinued. Globe Astral LLC may add, modify, hide, suspend, or remove features as the product evolves. We do not promise that any saved link, metadata, Reader result, local copy, or sync record will always remain available.
8. Suspension and termination
Because PagePin does not use a separate PagePin account in this release, you can stop using it by uninstalling the app. Globe Astral LLC may restrict a feature or release, or suspend access to a connected service, when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or service operation.
Local data and private CloudKit records may remain on your device or in Apple’s service unless you remove them through the available controls. While iCloud Sync is enabled, Settings → iCloud Sync → Delete iCloud Data permanently deletes PagePin’s private CloudKit zone, turns sync off, and keeps the local PagePin library on the device. If sync is enabled again later, that local library may be uploaded to a newly created zone by the user’s explicit action. Uninstalling PagePin does not by itself remove private CloudKit records.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, PagePin is provided "as is" and "as available." Globe Astral LLC does not warrant uninterrupted operation, preservation of local data, accuracy or availability of third-party content, metadata, Reader extraction, external links, or compatibility with every device or operating-system version.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Globe Astral LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, profits, or goodwill arising from PagePin, third-party content, or an unavailable external service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
12. Intellectual property
The PagePin software, together with its name, logo, branding, user interface, and design, is owned by Globe Astral LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of PagePin’s software, branding, or design to you.
You keep ownership of the content you create, such as your notes, labels, Collections, and Categories, to the extent you have rights in it. Third-party websites and the content you save or open through PagePin remain the property of their respective owners; saving or sharing that content through PagePin does not transfer ownership of it to you or to Globe Astral.
Subject to these Terms and any applicable app-store terms, Globe Astral grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable permission to use PagePin on devices you own or control. This permission does not limit any consumer rights or app-store usage rights that apply to you by law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as PagePin changes. The effective date above will be updated when revised Terms are published. Continued use of PagePin after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
